AutoLetter

Continuing ill health means I have a very limited period of time each day to do what I need to get done. That means lots of things don't get done, including being able to respond to the 100+ pieces of herp-related email I get each day from people with questions about reptiles and amphibians.

You will find all of my Herp and Green Iguana information at www.anapsid.org

Specific Green Iguana information, including my novella-length Iguana Care, Feeding & Socialization article, is found at www.anapsid.org/iguana. Green iguanas are complex, complicated creatures to care for properly. If you aren't willing to do the reading, you probably shouldn't be considering getting or keeping a green iguana.

Herp Societies & Rescues are at www.anapsid.org/societies

Herp Vets are at www.anapsid.org/vets. Herp vets aren't just for emergencies - they play a key role in helping you to keep your iguana healthy by helping to see what is going on inside your iguana before it becomes a serious, even life-threatening, situation.

Remember: in case of emergencies, get your pet to the vet or, in case of poisonings, get on the phone to the Animal Poison Control Center.

Line up a regular reptile vet, identify the emergency vets in your area, and put their numbers along with the APCC number, next to your phones (or programmed in your speed dial) before you need them.

By the time you are in an emergency situation, it is far too late to go online and search websites, send email, or post a message on a board and wait around for a response.

See my Herp Health, Injury & Stress page for more information you should know so that you can identify problems before they happen.

My Cyclura information, including access to the information stored at the University of Indiana and Mikey's log, are found at www.anapsid.org/cyclura.

Information on my book, Iguanas for Dummies, can be found at www.anapsid.org/dummies.

Information on the once again available Britton & Kaplan Captive Care of the Green Iguana video, see www.anapsid.org/iguana/video.html.

My Chronic Neuroimmune Diseases information is now at www.anapsid.org/cnd. My Lyme Disease: An Exercise in Nailing Jello® to the Wall page is at www.anapsid.org/lyme. The Carousel Network's website is www.cndsinfo.net. The California CFS & FMS Support Groups Directory is at www.cacfsfms.org.

If you can't seem to find what you are looking for at my site or any site, download and install a free search utility such as the one that is part of the Google Toolbar. See www.anapsid.org/search.html for more information.

Please: make use of the extensive information and links to other resources found at my site. Take advantage of excellent and helpful web resources such as the Iguana Mailing List (IML), the iguana forum at The Green Iguana Society (GIS). For reptile information in general, check out the message boards and chats at Kingsnake.com; AOL members can also check out the Reptile & Amphibian Forum.

Thank you for reading this far,

Note: I completely reorganized my site in October 2002, so any anapsid.org bookmarks made before then will no longer work. My old site at sonic.net/melissk was closed in November 2001 when I moved everything to anapsid.org. Despite the old sonic.net/melissk address still appearing in search engines and outdated websites, all of my herp and CND information is now housed at my www.anapsid.org site.
